Barko Expands Sales Representation

Barko Hydraulics, LLC announced that H&E Service will represent its industrial tractors, industrial crawlers, loaders and material handlers for the scrap, industrial and forestry markets. Tilton’s Recycling Program a Success

Tilton Equipment Co. encourages its dealers to participate in its “Bag It or Drag It” recycling program, which allows people to retire old chain saws, many of which have high-emission engines. Customers who bring saws in to participating dealers can receive a discount on a newer, more environmentally friendly saw. The trade-ins are salvaged for parts or donated to technical schools.

Partners in Community Forestry Presentations Available Online

The National Arbor Day Foundation and Home Depot hosted arborists and community forestry supporters from cities nationwide at its conference in Atlanta, Ga. Topics presented included success building with trees; new strategies to preserve trees during land development; storms and urban forests; integrating nonprofit development and community tree efforts; how to activate tree boards; and connecting trees to water quality and stormwater management. Houston Astros Plant Trees at State Capitol

The Houston Astros made a commitment to plant trees in communities along their annual Astros Caravan, and among the stops was Austin, Texas. Jeff Bagwell, Mike Hampton, Mark Saccomanno and Milo Hamilton were on hand to help plant some bur oak and chinkapin oak trees on the southwest lawn of the Texas state capitol.
