21-Inch Chipper

Vermeer’s 21-inch brush chipper, the BC2100XL, is available with a 215, 250 or 275 hp, Tier III Cummins diesel engine. The 72-inch-wide infeed table funnels material to the 22-by-28-inch drum opening. Two horizontal feed rollers are offset by 11 inches for easier feeding.

The chipper features gear teeth rings on the ends of the feed rollers and a belt-tensioned, clutchless design. The SmartFeed system monitors engine RPM and automatically stops or reverses the rollers when feeding larger material. It also senses feed roller jams and responds by automatically shifting material. The bottom feed stop bar allows the operator to shut off the feed in an emergency situation.
