Change it Up

Fecon’s Bull Hog mulchers are now available with a variable-speed motor option, which allows the mulcher to adjust rotor speed and torque to improve recovery time and productivity. The variable-speed motor will achieve higher rotor speed and more bites per second when mulching smaller-diameter material with less resistance. With larger-diameter material and more resistance, the motor will shift to a larger displacement for greater torque to enable longer staying power at the rotor.

New Stump Cutters

Vermeer’s newest stump cutters, the SC1152 and SC652, feature four-bar linkage that helps reduce the need to reposition the entire unit. Both models can remove stumps up to 31 inches aboveground and 25 inches belowground, with a straight-line cutting width of 72 inches at ground level. The cutter wheel is powered by a heavy-duty, variable-displacement, hydrostatic pump. Cummins diesel engines provide 110 and 65 hp. The units offer a differential lock/unlock feature; variable-speed ground drive; optional remote control; three-position, swing-out control station; and optional 34-inch-wide, front-mounted chip blade to move chips around the job site.
