Morbark, Inc. has added Great West Equipment as an exclusive dealer of its recycling, forestry and tree care equipment. Great West serves the province of British Columbia with locations in Campbell River, Cranbrook, Fort St. John, Kamloops, Nanaimo, Prince George, Vancouver, Vernon and Williams Lake.

Morbark announced several new product innovations for the energy market at its third Demo Days event, held in Winn, Mich. They include the model 23 Chiparvestor with Morbark ICS, 40/36 track biomass chipper and Beever M20R drum chipper with infeed deck.

Lon Morey, president and CEO of Morbark, received the Mount Pleasant (Mich.) Area Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year award. He was chosen for his extensive involvement with community youths and elders, as well as his longtime support of schools and hospitals in the area.


Wood-Mizer Launches Online Configuration Tool

Wood-Mizer launched an online sawmill Configurator—a tool that guides customers through the process of choosing a sawmill, engine size, accessories and other options. Turf Teq Receives AE 50 Award

Turf Teq received an AE 50 Award from the American Society of Agricultural & Biological Engineering for its 1305BC Brush Cutter. ASABE presented the AE 50 Awards at its annual international meeting, held in Reno, Nev.


WNA Celebrates Arbor Day at the Capitol

The Wisconsin Nursery Association, in conjunction with The Bruce Co. and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Forestry, organized its annual Arbor Day ceremony, held in Capitol Park, Madison, Wis. Highlights included speakers, planting a swamp white oak, and essay and poster contests.

The winning fourth-grade students in the essay contest were Paul Boesl, first place; Hannah Feller, second place; and Kendra Rosenthal, third place. The winners of the poster contest for fifth-graders were Sumin Yang, first place; Kesley Secrist, second place; and Rachel Vogel, third place.
