Tree Academy Workshops

Hands-on Tree Academy Workshops will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 13-14. Topics include tree risk assessment, tree diagnostics, Florida tree ID, killer trees and other topics. Attendees can earn CEUs.

Three-Day Tree Anatomy Workshop

New this year, ISA is offering a three-day pre-conference “Exploring Tree Anatomy” workshop from Thursday, Aug. 11 through Saturday, Aug. 13 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. During this three-day workshop, presenter Mark Hartley will teach attendees to read trees from the inside-out, helping them to more accurately diagnose tree health and vitality issues.

Educational Sessions

Earn more CEUs with a large number of choices of educational sessions held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 15-17.

Tiny Talks—Big Ideas Sessions

Also new this year, attendees can hear insight on the wider arboriculture industry during these short talks (less than 10 minutes) on Tuesday, Aug. 16. “Tiny Talks” are intended to stimulate the exchange of new and exciting ideas in a short period of time. These short sessions will be held back-to-back and are eligible for CEUs.

Keynote Speaker: Canopy Cat Rescue (Monday, Aug. 15, 10-11 a.m.)

Tom Otto and Shaun Sears are professional tree climbers who rescue cats from trees to reunite them with their owners, keeping the safety of the cat as their top priority. They’ve been featured on the “Treetop Cat Rescue” series on the Animal Planet TV channel.

Climbers’ Corner

Sessions will be held Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 15-16 on the Trade Show Floor. Attendees can earn CEUs.
