New Technical Advisor Announced at The Davey Institute

Chelsi Abbott has been appointed as technical advisor at the Davey Institute, the Davey Tree Expert Company’s research, development and innovation division. Based in Chicago, Abbott will provide operational and research support to Davey’s field operations in the upper Midwest.

Michigan-based Tree Company Expanding, Hiring

Trees&Co, in Pontiac, Michigan is looking to hire seven employees with varying experience levels this spring. The company is hiring two arborists, a climber, a groundsman and three sales representatives. Founded in 1997, the company offers both commercial and residential arbor care.

Forestry Award Presented to Exmark Manufacturing

Exmark Manufacturing was presented a Nebraska Community Forestry award, in the business category, one of 10 awards presented. Exmark was chosen because of a project to donate and help plant 100 trees to celebrate the centennial anniversary of The Toro Company, Exmark’s parent company, according to Lyle Minshull, with the Nebraska Community Forestry Council.

Davey Tree Promotes Safety Specialist For South Region

The Davey Tree Expert Company recently announced the promotion of Brian Parris as regional safety specialist within Davey’s Safety Department. Previously, Parris was as a utility safety specialist in North Carolina and recently celebrated his fifteen-year anniversary. As regional safety specialist, Parris will be responsible for supporting the safety and training of Davey Tree service lines in the South.

 Total Tree Care Joins The Care of Trees

Total Tree Care Inc. is a tree care company that serves residential clients in Connecticut. They have been acquired by The Care of Trees, a subsidiary of The Davey Tree Expert Company. Clients of Total Tree Care will gain access to the Davey Institute, according to Ken Clear, regional VP for Davey and The Care of Trees.

Driver Safety Training Courses To Be Offered Online by Terex

Terex Utilities has added 13 new online driver safety training course for medium-duty utility trucks. The online courses are designed to help professionals with proactive driver training and teach safe driving techniques of Terex aerial devices, digger derricks and auger drills.
