Inverted Log Splitter

CEAttachments’ EDGE Inverted Log Splitter attachment for skid steer and track loaders allows the operator to remain in the seat and operate all controls for lifting, transporting and splitting wood. The front of the standard-flow attachment can be used to push logs and position them for splitting. Split logs up to 24 inches long right on the ground. The splitter can also be used to lift heavy logs and transport them to another location for splitting. The cylinder drives 20 tons of force to the splitting wedge, yet runs on 10 to 20 GPM standard hydraulic flow. The splitter can also be unbolted from the quick-attach mount and flipped 180 degrees for upright splitting applications.

Targeted Irrigation

Deep Drip tree watering stakes from Forestry Suppliers are efficient, easy to use, and promote strong root development by delivering water and fertilizer directly to tree roots. Water flows freely through the holes of the underground stake, while an internal filter blocks dirt and debris from entering the stake. When tree fertilizer is placed in the shaft of the stake, water passes through the granules and carries nutrients directly to the tree roots. In addition, the stakes also aerate the surrounding soil with oxygen. Designed for use with a garden hose, flood irrigation, or in conjunction with an automatic landscape drip system.

Road-Ready Trailer

Echo Bear Cat added a road-ready trailer for all of its 3-inch chipper/shredders to its line of outdoor power equipment. The trailer is road-towable (up to 40 mph), comes standard with fenders and lights and is NATM-certified. This compact trailer allows for mounting of the machine to discharge curbside (front) or at the rear of the trailer. It also features a fold-up hitch pole for compact storage in tight places. For older models (serial number preceding C03477) an adapter kit is required.

Take on Branchy Material

Vermeer introduced the BC900XL brush chipper with the ability to chip heavily branched material up to 9 inches in diameter. It features a 9-inch-by-14-inch feed opening. A 33-inch diameter disc rotates at 1,400 RPM and features two steel chipper knives with two usable cutting edges each. Two shear bars also have two usable edges. The patented SmartFeed system monitors engine RPM and automatically stops and reverses the single horizontal feed roller when feeding larger hardwood material. A 40 hp Kohler Command CH1000 gas engine offers a no-spill oil filter change feature. Safety features include a long feed table design, bottom feed stop bar and a four-position feed control bar. The bottom feed stop bar is strategically located so the operator’s leg can strike it and shut off the feed in an emergency situation.
