Bandit Industries announced the addition of two new dealers to the company’s North American dealer network. Bandit Tree Care Products of Southern California is based in Foothill Ranch, Calif. Miner’s Equipment & Truck Repair is located in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Bandit also announced the all-new digital version of Bandit Bits magazine, the company’s official publication for customers and industry professionals. Elliott & Frantz’s Morbark Tree Care Territory Expands
Morbark, Inc. announced the territory expansion for Elliott & Frantz, Inc. into southeastern Pennsylvania. A Morbark forestry, recycling and tree care dealer since 2010, Elliott & Frantz has added Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania to its tree care products territory throughout Delaware and parts of Maryland. The expansion does not change its forestry and recycling territory.
Davey Tree Ranks Fourth on Employee Ownership List
The Davey Tree Expert Co. has been ranked the fourth-largest 100 percent employee-owned company in the U.S., according to the National Center for Employee Ownership. The rankings are based on total number of employees, and Davey’s 7,400 employees throughout North America placed it high on the list. The list includes the nation’s largest companies that are at least 50 percent owned by an employee stock ownership plan or other broad-based employee ownership plan. Davey ranks 18th among all companies with at least 50 percent employee ownership.

John Gibson, president of Swingle Lawn, Tree & Landscape Care, and his daughters participated in the Professional Landcare Network’s Day of Renewal & Remembrance at Arlington National Cemetery. Swingle is a member of PLANET. OPEI Announces Officers and Directors
The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute announced its 2012-2013 officers and board of directors during its 60th annual meeting in Colorado Springs, Colo. Officers include Daniel Ariens, chairman; Todd Teske, vice chairman; and Paul Mullet, secretary/treasurer. Continuing their service on the OPEI board are immediate past chairman Jean Hlay, Steven Bly, Ed Cohen, Michael Hoffman, Michael Jones and Fred Whyte. New to the board this year are Marc Dufour, Peter Hampton and Lee Sowell.
Ingram Named President of Bartlett Tree Experts
Bartlett Tree Experts announced that James Ingram, currently vice president and division manager of the company’s field operations in New England and eastern Canada, has been named president and will begin this role on January 1, 2013. The news comes shortly after the announcement that Greg Daniels will be retiring as president of the company at the end of this year. Ingram joined Bartlett as an arborist representative in 1983 and was promoted to local manager in 1984. He has held his current role since 1993 and in that time established the New England territory as the company’s highest sales region.
Sauers Receives Excellence in Business Award
Sauers Tree & Landscape Service, Inc., Dresher, Pa., received national recognition from the Snow & Ice Management Association as the recipient of a 2012 Excellence in Business Award. The award was presented to company president Stephanie Sauers-Boyd during the Awards & Recognition Night at the 15th Annual Snow & Ice Symposium in Buffalo, N.Y. Sauers was also recognized with a SIMA Safety Award at the event.
