New Gear for the Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

All right, party's over, back to work. After a nearly two-week holiday hiatus I reluctantly returned to my office, brushed the cobwebs off my keyboard and began the tedious process of reading/returning/rejecting the massive mountain of emails piled up in my neglected inbox. Among the many messages were a few last-minute additions to this month's special feature: New Products for 2013. Whether you're scoping out a new saw, stocking up on climbing line or planning on investing in a new chipper, we've got everything you need to make 2013 your most productive, and successful, year yet. Flip to page 12 to check out the goods.

Tree Services teams with the ISA

One of the hallmarks of the tree care community is the willingness to share information with each other, help your peers succeed, offer advice to those just starting out. This team philosophy has set the tone for our latest improvement. We are excited to announce that we have partnered with the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) to provide our readers with relevant coverage of issues affecting the tree care industry. The ISA represents 21,000 members and 30,000 credential holders and serves tree care pros around the globe. The ISA's mission: "Through research, technology and education, the International Society of Arboriculture promotes the professional practice of arboriculture and fosters a greater worldwide awareness of the benefits of trees."

As part of our partnership, select issues of Tree Services will feature expert, peer-reviewed articles provided by the pros at the ISA; see page 30 of this issue for the first installment.

As always, if there's a topic you'd like to see covered, give me a call, send me an email or message me on Facebook: www.facebook.com/treeservices.
